Composite Materials:
We primarily use two composite materials to reinforce concrete structures: NEFMAC, and Mbrace.

NEFMAC

NEFMAC is a non-corrosive lightweight composite material, made of FRP that is formed in two or three dimensional grid shapes by using impregnated high performance continuous fibers such as carbon fibers, glass fibers, and aramid fibers, with resin. NEFMAC reinforcement applications include bridge decks, parking structures, concrete toppings, shotcreting, precast, adobe type construction, sea walls, dams, or any concrete application that is subject to corrosion.

Mbrace

Mbrace is a lightweight carbon fiber that strengthens concrete structures, and increases the structural load bearing capacity of concrete columns.

Notable Projects

Leslie Street Overpass
Toronto, Ontario, Canada: Mbrace composite strengthening system applied to bridge columns after complete concrete repair. The lightweight carbon fibre of the Mbrace system strengthens, and adds to the structural load bearing capacity of concrete columns.
Kent County Bridge
Chatham, Ontario, Canada: NEFMAC Carbon Grid is installed to bridge deck as the main structural reinforcing. NEFMAC Glass Grid is installed in barrier walls, secured to stainless steel studs.
